Across this 132-page collector’s edition, recollections from Lennon, McCartney, Harrison and Starr are interwoven with comments from friends, writers and experts, which bring fresh context to the story of the greatest group of all time.

At the heart of it all is the music. This first volume charts the development of the band’s raw, innovative sound, the blossoming of Lennon and McCartney’s songwriting partnership and the prolific creation of the classic early songs, all of which are assessed here on a track by track basis.
